Broughton Street at Night:

I can remember the Avon theatre quite well but the Roxie next door to it is a little beyond my recollection. My brother however states that next to the Roxie was a drugstore and that across the street from the Roxie and Avon you can make out the State theatre which was previously known as the Odeon. A drugstore was also located next to the State theatre and years later the Weiss theatre would be built on that same side but further toward the east end of Broughton Street. I remember the Weiss quite well.

Looking west down Broughton on the right was a theatre which was called the Bijou. This too was a little before my remembrance. smile.gif
